Android 11 new media player controls can now be swiped away

The first Android 11 new media beta introduced a redesign of the media controls that you brought to the Quick Settings panel. In beta 2, this feature is enabled by default. Today’s beta 3 tweaks to allow the new user interface to be controlled – even if the media is still playing.
In previous bets, there was no consistent way to remove media controls from the Quick Settings panel. Even long after the podcast stopped playing, it’s still grabbing valuable screen real estate:
If you want to get rid of control, there are many ways to do this, but they are not consistent. You have to close or close the application that started them; Swipe left on the notification (which does not always work), Or turn off, long press Extended Control, and choose “Close this media session”, which is a bit embarrassing – why isn’t X in the corner?
Thankfully, Beta 3 allows controls to flow into the Quick Settings panel or away from the lock screen. Still, this is a bit strange. For one thing, the media never stops playing when you swipe it away. In fact, you can still see media controls if you pull back from above and expand the Quick Settings drawer. I can see where this takes us: confusion.
Swiping YouTube music removes their control, but the audio still plays.
Android 11 new media Beta 3 also has a new toggle in the sound settings (also accessible if you partially slide the media notification to the right and click on the gear button) which automatically hides the player when the media session ends gives. It seems that a problem with an app like Google Podcast is being fixed.
I was a bit sceptical when new media controls appeared in beta 1, but they augmented me with beta 2 and now I think it’s a good chance for stability. With this, you will always know where the pause button is without searching in the notification shade, as well as you can scroll between media controls of different apps. I’m glad you can actually pull it still – I hope it closes automatically.
