Huawei is playing to win with the launch of the P40 Pro superphone. The devices include a winning phone company camera capable of 10x optical zoom, a large 6.58-inch screen, and a 4,200mAh battery on a relatively small phone. But it is not the only high-end phone. In fact, the Premium Smart Play Field has become increasingly crowded.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 Ultra in February, which captures 108-megapixel photos and offers 100x zoom to the world. Meanwhile, Apple released the iPhone 11 Pro Max last September, featuring stunning photos and videos along with easy browsing. But Google Pixel 4 XL has a pretty big price advantage ($ 899 when launched) along with similar specs but a smaller screen and battery. Meanwhile, Huawei’s P40 Pro is priced fairly high, starting with a convertor price of $ 1100, £ 910, or $ 1,820. Ships in June, but is not officially available in the United States.
Of course, it’s hard to talk about a new Huawei phone without addressing the elephant in the room: the great presence of Google Mobile services and the widely used suite of applications like Gmail and Google Map, as well as the Pláy store, which has been answered by Huhai’s preliminary ecosystem. For starters, the Chinese phone company has been trying to bridge the gap. The company says it is making major investments in developing its Huawei mobile services and has asked developers to produce apps and services for its app store. Meanwhile, iOS 13 on iPhone and Android 10 pure on Google Pixel is the golden basis for phone software.
