Realme has started rolling out the smooth scrolling feature for Realme UI’s dedicated Android program for its users. This feature will allow a smoother and faster visual effect when scrolling up and down. Realme says the new feature will be more prominent for websites and apps that have infinite scrolls, such as Facebook and Twitter. As part of the Realme Lab project, the smooth scrolling feature will soon be available in phases for all Realme UI phones.
Realme said in a forum post that smooth scrolling will enable faster scrolling of the content you are viewing. With just one swipe up, the scrolling reaches the bottom of the page and stops much later than before, with a smooth scrolling motion. According to a side-by-side comparison of the video (with an on and off feature) that the company shares in the post, it is worth noting that scrolling is more sensitive when smooth scrolling is turned on. As mentioned, scrolling through an app with endless feeds like Facebook or Twitter will further enhance the effect.
The smooth scrolling feature can be used by tapping Settings> Realme Lab and turning on smooth scrolling.
The facility is part of the Realme Lab project, as part of this, the company is conducting initial testing of operating system function currently in development by real users. According to a report by XDA Developers, these are the phones that have had smooth scrolling so far: Realme 3 Pro, Realme 5 Pro, Realme X, Realme XT, Realme X2, Realme X3 and Realme X3ZZoom.
Realme is set to launch Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro on September 1. The Realme X7 Pro listing was published on a Chinese online retailer website before its launch, which has changed some key specifications. The phone is equipped with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display (1,080 x 2,400) and a 4,500 mAh dual-cell battery. It is said to have a quad rear camera setup, with the main camera expected to be 64MP. The Realme X7 series will have a three-color gamut.
