Google Pixel 5 leak revealed a Hole-Punch Camera and Fingerprint Sensor

Just a few days ago, we were watching the Pixel 5 demo. Now, thanks to a quickly deleted post on Reddit, it seems that the shows are confirmed by our first look at actual phones in the wild.

On the left is the Black Pixel 5, and on the right is the larger Pixel 4a 5G phone in white. Apparently, both will have a plastic back and the fingerprint reader is back in Pixel 5 after a short hiatus in Pixel 4. But the leaked specifications are more interesting than this alleged live photo.

Before the post was removed, Redditor provided us with specs for both phones, as picked up by the XDA developers. He confirmed what other 5Pixel 5 rumors had previously suggested: Google is no longer chasing the big main market, like a return to the days of the Nexus.

It appears that the phone will be powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor recently seen inside the OnePlus Nord, which is supported by 8GB of RAM. The camera – which always stands out in the Pixel phone for Google’s excellent image processing – is a 12.2-megapixel sensor, supported by a 0.5x wide-angle lens. Although Pixel 4a plastic is present in it, there will be no return for the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Big battery for Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G phones

This may all sound very disappointing, but there is definitely good news in the mix as well. For starters, Pixel 5 will retain the Pixel 4K 90Hz display – but Stamina should be at least an issue. The Pixel 5 is said to have a 4,000mAh battery, which is a major upgrade over the Pixel 4 from the 2,800mAh cell.

According to the leak, the Pixel 4a 5G is also getting some welcome upgrades, including a Snapdragon 765G chip and a 3,800mAh battery increase. The regular Pixel 4a has a 2,800mAh battery.

On paper, the camera specifications between the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G look the same, and if that proves to be the case, it might be a good idea to save your money and choose the latter – even if you lose the 90Hz screen Will give

To be clear, Snapdragon 765G is not slouching, even though it does not exist with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 865 Plus processor. The OnePlus Nord feels, as we wrote in our review, very responsive in everyday use, and comes in at an impressive price ~ $ 480. We do not know the price of Pixel 5, but we know that Pixel 4a 5G will be sold for $ 499 due to Google’s own blog.

The Google Pixel 5 will stop working, especially when you consider that the ultra-fast iPhone SE can be had for just $ 399. However, the phone is still more than a processor of its own, and in the past, Google has woken us up with software tricks while scanning and auto-copying bot calls to just two names. We hope the company has equally impressive to show us when the phones are officially unveiled this fall.
