Last week Huawei launched an upcoming tablet for the Indian market that will offer premium features in the price range of Rs.20,000 to 25,000. While we were expecting MediaPad M6, the company launched MediaPad M5 Lite 10. The new tablet is priced at only 22GB RAM + 64GB storage variants. The tablet can pre-book the tablet at Flipkart, Croma, and other retail stores starting March 6 or can alternatively register on the company’s website.
However, before thinking about buying this device, let’s look at the specifications. MediaPad M5 Lite 10 has a 10.1-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) IPS display. The company has added the Cleary Vue 5.0, which automatically adjusts the display tone and brightness, which is very standard these days on most smartphones and tablets. It also comes with a Herman Cardon quad-speaker. The tablet has a metal unibody design and 2.5D curved glass on display.
The tablet comes with an 8-core processor High Silicon Kern 659 SC with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. The front and back have two 8 megapixel cameras and a 7,500mAh battery to keep the lights on. The company claims that the battery provides up to 13 hours of video playback and the battery supports 18W fast charging. Now for the disappointing part. This tablet runs on Android 8.0 with Huawei EMUI 9.8 skin. This year we’re going to get Android 11, because of this, Huawei should offer Android 9.0 with a minimal tablet. Somehow, the UI comes with a feature called Kids Corner, which allows parents to control their children’s use and even supplement the content that they can access. General Chat Chat Lounge This tablet will support the company’s M Pen Light Styles, which will be sold separately.
