Windows 11 Security Patch | Windows Security UpdateThe update brings the build to the new version number 22000.318. The initial release has the build number 22000.194. Microsoft has already summarized the most important changes for the new version. We have translated the highlights of the update for you and added them to the end of this post. As usual, there is an article on the Windows 11 patch in the Microsoft Knowledge Base, which can be found under KB5007215.

Windows 11 KB5007215 (Build 22000.318) Full Changelog:

  1. Fixes an issue that could prevent the Start menu from opening.
  2. Fixes various issues with Explorer.exe and File Explorer modern UI.
  3. Fixes memory leak and performance issues.
  4. Fixes Bluetooth devices delay.
  5. Fixes a bug that causes devices to stop responding.

On the Windows 11 side, there’s KB5007215, which is, again, focused on security. However, you can check out Microsoft’s support bulletin for more details, one of which includes that a GDI+ issue has been remedied. And as always, servicing stack updates are present, because that’s what happens on Patch Tuesday.

This security update contains quality improvements. Major changes include:

Addresses an issue where certain applications could have unexpected results when rendering some user interface elements or drawing within the application. This problem can occur with applications that use GDI + and set a zero (0) width pen object on displays with high dots per inch (DPI) or resolution, or when the application uses scaling. If you have installed previous updates, only the new fixes contained in this package will be downloaded and installed on your device.

With this update, quality improvements are made to the so-called maintenance stack, the component that installs Windows updates. Servicing Stack Updates (SSU) ensure that you have a stable and reliable servicing stack so that your devices can receive and install Microsoft updates.
